The Main Function of The Power Inverter

Power inverter power supply is a power protection device with energy storage device, inverter as the main component, voltage stabilization and frequency stabilization output. Its main function: emergency use to prevent sudden power failure from affecting normal work. Even damage the system; eliminate "power pollution" such as mains surge, instantaneous high voltage, instantaneous low voltage, wire noise and frequency offset, and provide high-quality and stable power for the system. At present, power inverter power supply has been widely used in many fields, and has begun to enter the family. The main manufacturers are APC, Shante and so on.

1. The Composition of The Power Inverter

The power inverter is mainly composed of a rectifier, a battery, an inverter and a static switch.
1). Rectifier. The AC is converted into DC, which is filtered and supplied to the load or inverter. At the same time, it provides charging voltage to the livestock battery and acts as a charger.
2). Battery. The power inverter is a device used to store electrical energy, which is composed of several batteries in series, and its capacity determines the length of time to maintain the power supply. When the mains is normal, the electrical energy is converted into chemical energy and stored in the battery. When the mains fails, the chemical energy is converted into electrical energy and supplied to the inverter or load.
3). Inverter. It is composed of inverter bridge, control logic and filter circuit to convert direct current into alternating current.

4). Static switch. A non-contact switch composed of two thyristors in reverse parallel connection, its closing/disconnecting is controlled by a logic controller, and it is divided into two types: conversion type and parallel type. The former is mostly used in two-way power supply systems, which can realize automatic switching between the two, while the latter is mostly used for parallel inverters and commercial power or multiple inverters.

2. Purchase of Power Inverter

When purchasing a power inverter, you should choose a suitable power inverter according to your needs.
1). Confirm the required power inverter type. As far as the current power situation is concerned, the power inverter is a necessary power protection device. Different users have different needs for power inverter power supply. For example, important equipment must choose an on-line power inverter with excellent performance and extremely reliable system. It can withstand the high voltage, peak, surge, interference, etc. of the power grid, and output pure power; individual or household users can choose a backup power inverter, which is cheap and lightweight, and the conversion time when switching from mains to battery power< 10MS.
2). Determine the required power inverter power. List the devices to be protected, summarize the power of each device and add 30% expansion capacity for use when the system is upgraded.

3). Determine the backup time required by the load. In the event of a power failure, if the load only performs simple operations, the standard power inverter power supply can be selected. If the load still needs to run for a long time, a long-term power inverter should be selected.
